SF Front Yards

You never know what you’ll come across when you walk around San Francisco. Even after 10 years, there are things that still stop me in my tracks — like the unusual front yards I’ve run across in the last month. Front yards aren’t very common in San Francisco, so perhaps the few people who have them feel compelled to make them stand-out?

In front of a house in Bernal Heights, the torso of a male mannequin resides in with some rose bushes:

On Chenery Street, as it leaves Noe Valley and starts edging into Glen Park, there is this odd carnival-inspired front yard that includes a spooky fortune teller, games, and some tomato plants — because even collectors of carnival artifacts love home grown tomatoes.
